BS 8580: Risk Assessment for Legionella Control event was held in London on the 8 April, 2010. The event was organized to provide independent risk assessors, regulators, facility managers and other duty holders with a guide to the processes required to produce Legionella risk assessments for artificial water systems. It also gave industry professionals the opportunity to voice there opinions and comments on the new Legionella risk assessment British Standard document (BS 8580) which is due to be released later this year.

H2o had a representative at the event to ensure that we remain at the forefront of regulatory changes so that we can offer our clients the most up to date service. H2o looks forward to BS 8580 being published later this year as we firmly believe that there should be a general consensus amongst risk assessors that all industry professionals should be able to demonstrate independence, impartiality and integrity when carrying out surveys of Legionella in premises.
